Shilasdair Yarn Shop, Waternish, Isle of Skye

This is the yarn shop owners little croft dwelling.

The Shilasdair yarn shop. It must be an old converted shed.

The dye garden for some of their yarn dyes. It was a very overcast day when we were there, but you can still see some of their beautiful view. Wouldn't you like own a little yarn shop with that view?

Dyeing the yarns.

Inside the actual shop.

BB an I had fun looking around this shop. But it was quite expensive. However we both did buy some yarn on the island. Unfortunately no pics.

3rd Day, A wander around the craft shows, Portree

We wandered around Portree and came across this Bazaar, at what must have been a Victorian Town Hall. In the main hall were crafts from the Himalayas, mostly Nepal.

Around the corner, you can see the arrow in the far right, was the local craft display.

These are some of the local crafts displayed.

Since it was such a grey day, it was great to wander around the shops.

Edinbane Pottery, Isle of Skye

Is a lovely pottery shop in Edinbane. My sister BB and I love pottery, well any kind of china. In fact a friend came to our house one time and said 'it's a good job you don't throw plates at Bo when you get angry because you would never run out.' And that's about the truth. I have so many sets of beautiful china, and some pottery.

I would have bought something here, but to be honest it was super expensive. For instance a cup was eighteen pounds and the matching saucer fifteen pounds. My sister and I are pretty thrifty. He had some buttons, not even glazed in different colours, and not an inch in diameter and wanted three pounds per button; which BB and I thought was excessive. If he'd of had something small like that and cheaper, we would have bought a set.

If you had the money though, some lovely pieces.
